Actions:
Definition: What a character does or how they behave in a particular situation.
Description: Actions can reveal a lot about a character’s personality, motivations, and beliefs.
Example: Percy Jackson shows his bravery and loyalty when he defends his friend Grover from the Minotaur and when he goes on a dangerous quest to save his mother and retrieve Zeus’ lightning bolt.
Emotions:
Definition: The feelings a character experiences in a particular situation.
Description: Emotions can reveal a character’s inner thoughts, conflicts, and motivations.
Example: Percy Jackson feels anger, frustration, and confusion when he discovers that he is a demigod and that his father is Poseidon, the Greek god of the sea.
Appearance:
Definition: How a character looks, dresses, or presents themselves physically.
Description: Appearance can reveal a character’s social status, personality, and values.
Example: Percy Jackson’s scrappy and rebellious appearance reflects his outsider status at school and his independent spirit.
Choices:
Definition: The decisions a character makes in a particular situation.
Description: Choices can reveal a character’s priorities, values, and goals.
Example: Percy Jackson chooses to go on a dangerous quest to retrieve Zeus’ lightning bolt, even though he knows it could be deadly, because he wants to clear his name and protect his friends.
Relationships:
Definition: How a character interacts with other characters in the story.
Description: Relationships can reveal a character’s social skills, personality, and values.
Example: Percy Jackson’s relationships with his friends Annabeth and Grover reveal his loyalty, trustworthiness, and bravery.
Growth:
Definition: How a character changes or develops over the course of the story.
Description: Growth can reveal a character’s maturity, self-awareness, and resilience.
Example: Percy Jackson grows from a confused and insecure teenager to a confident and brave hero who learns to control his powers and take responsibility for his actions.
